Guidelines for Selection of Plant Protection Machinery

2024-04-19

Plant protection machinery, commonly known as spraying machinery, is mainly used for spraying pesticides. Welcomed by the farmers.

So this article will introduce the guidelines for selection of plant protection machinery:

1. To understand the hazard characteristics, application methods, and requirements of the controlled objects (diseases, pests, and weeds). For example, the location where diseases and pests occur or harm plants, the dosage form, physical properties and dosage of the agent, the spraying operation mode (powder spraying, spray, aerosol, etc.), and the spray is constant, low or ultra-low, so as to select the type of plant protection machinery.

2. Understand the natural conditions in the field of the controlled object and the adaptability of the selected plant protection machinery to it. For example, the leveling and planning of the field, whether it is plain or hilly, dry or paddy fields, the size of fruit trees, spacing between plants and rows, and gaps between trees, considering the adaptability of the selected equipment for field operation and operation, as well as the passability between fruit trees.

3. Understand the cultivation and growth of crops. For example, the height and density of crops, whether spraying is during the seedling stage or the middle to late stage, the required areas and density of pesticide coverage, the height and size of fruit tree canopies, and whether the performance of the spraying (spraying) components of the selected plant protection machinery can meet the requirements of prevention and control.

4. Understand the safety of the selected plant protection machinery during operation. For example, whether there is water or medicine leakage, pollution to operators, and whether it will cause pesticide damage to crops.

5. Based on the business model and scale, as well as economic conditions such as household contracting or collective operation, the size of the prevention and control area and the required productivity, purchasing ability, and the ability to bear the operating costs of machinery (pesticides, water supply, fuel or electricity, labor costs, etc.), the selection of human machinery or power machinery and the size of machinery should be determined.
